His Grandchildren ﷺ
His grandchildren ﷺ through his daughters, may Allah be pleased with them
The Prophet ﷺ had grandchildren through his daughters Zaynab, Ruqayyah, and Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with them. No child is reported for his daughter Umm Kulthum, may Allah be pleased with her.
- Through Fatimah az-Zahra and Ali ibn Abi Talib: al-Hasan, al-Husayn, Muhsin, Zaynab, and Umm Kulthum, may Allah be pleased with them; Muhsin died in childhood
- Through Zaynab and Abu al-As ibn ar-Rabi: Ali and Umamah, may Allah be pleased with them; Ali died in childhood
- Through Ruqayyah and Uthman ibn Affan: Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him; he died in childhood
- Umm Kulthum married Uthman ibn Affan after the death of her sister Ruqayyah, and she bore him no children
Al-Hasan and al-Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them
Al-Hasan and al-Husayn were among the most beloved members of the Prophet's household ﷺ to him. He said of them: “Al-Hasan and al-Husayn are the leaders of the youth of Paradise.” — narrated by at-Tirmidhi. The blessed lineage of the Prophet ﷺ continued through his daughter Fatimah az-Zahra, may Allah be pleased with her.
