Chapter One: The Prophetic Biography (al-Sīrah), the Shama'il (the Prophet’s characteristics), and I'jāz (the inimitability)
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا أَنْجَشَةُ، رُوَيْدَكَ سَوْقَكَ بِالْقَوَارِيرِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Anjasha, go slowly; your trade is in glass vessels.'
الباب الثاني: فضائل الأنبياء والصحابة والأعمال
Chapter Two: The Virtues of the Prophets, the Companions, and Good Deeds
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَحَبُّ الْأَعْمَالِ إِلَى اللهِ الصَّلَاةُ لِوَقْتِهَا، ثُمَّ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ثُمَّ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The most beloved of deeds to Allah is prayer at its proper time, then dutifulness to one's parents, then striving (jihad) in the way of Allah.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «خَيْرُ بَيْتٍ فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَيْتٌ فِيهِ يَتِيمٌ يُحْسَنُ إِلَيْهِ، وَشَرُّ بَيْتٍ فِي الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَيْتٌ فِيهِ يَتِيمٌ يُسَاءُ إِلَيْهِ، أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ هَكَذَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The best house among the Muslims is a house in which an orphan is well treated, and the worst house among the Muslims is a house in which an orphan is mistreated. I and the one who cares for the orphan will be like this in Paradise.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «صَنَائِعُ الْمَعْرُوفِ تَقِي مَصَارِعَ السُّوءِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Good deeds avert great evils.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ دَلَّ عَلَى خَيْرٍ فَلَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ فَاعِلِهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever guides someone to a good deed will have the same reward as the doer.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ سَنَّ فِي الإِسْلامِ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَأَجْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ، وَمَنْ سَنَّ فِي الإِسْلامِ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً كَانَ عَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهَا وَوِزْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever establishes a good sunnah in Islam will have its reward and the reward of those who follow it after him, without diminishing in the least their rewards; and whoever establishes an evil sunnah in Islam will bear its burden and the burden of those who follow it after him, without diminishing in the least their burdens.'

Chapter Four: Etiquette, Morals, and Spiritual Refinements
«اتَّقِ دَعْوَةَ الْمَظْلُومِ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ اللَّهِ حِجَابٌ».
Beware the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no barrier between it and Allah.
قال رسول الله ﷺ «اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَاتَّقُوا الشُّحَّ فَإِنَّ الشُّحَّ أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ حَمَلَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْ سَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ وَاسْتَحَلُّوا مَحَارِمَهُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Beware of injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection; and beware of stinginess, for stinginess destroyed those before you — it led them to shed their blood and to make lawful what Allah had forbidden.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَثْقَلُ شَيْءٍ فِي مِيزَانِ الْمُؤْمِنِ خُلُقٌ حَسَنٌ، إِنَّ اللهَ يَبْغَضُ الْفَاحِشَ الْمُتَفَحِّشَ البذيء».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The heaviest thing on the believer's scale is good character; indeed Allah hates the obscene, the shameless, and the vulgar.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَحْبِبْ حَبِيبَكَ هَوْنًا مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ بَغِيضَكَ يَوْمًا مَا، وَأَبْغِضْ بَغِيضَكَ هَوْنًا مَا عَسَى أَنْ يَكُونَ حَبِيبَكَ يَوْمًا مَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Love your beloved moderately; perhaps he will become hateful to you one day. And hate your hateful person moderately; perhaps he will become your beloved one day.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِذَا أَحَبَّ الله عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَا يَحْمِي أَحَدُكُمْ سَقِيمَهُ الْمَاءَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When Allah loves a servant He protects him in this world as one of you protects his sick one with water.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِذَا أَحَبَّ الله عَبْدًا نَادَى جِبْرِيلَ إِنَّ الله يُحِبُّ فُلَانًا فَأَحِبَّهُ فَيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ، فَيُنَادِي جِبْرِيلُ فِي أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ إِنَّ الله يُحِبُّ فُلَانًا فَأَحِبُّوهُ فَيُحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ، ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ لَهُ الْقَبُولُ فِي الأَرْضِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When Allah loves a servant He calls Jibrīl and tells him that Allah loves so-and-so and to love him; Jibrīl then loves him and proclaims to the inhabitants of the heavens that Allah loves him and they love him; then acceptance is placed for him on earth.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ الله بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا عَسَّلَهُ، قِيلَ: كَيْفَ يُعَسِلُهُ؟ قال: يَفْتَحُ لَهُ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهُ عليه».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When Allah intends good for a servant He "honey-tastes" him.' They asked, 'How does He "honey-taste" him?' He said, 'He opens for him a righteous deed before his death and then takes him while he is upon it.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِذَا أَرَادَ الله بِعَبْدِهِ الْخَيْرَ عَجَّلَ لَهُ الْعُقُوبَةَ فِي الدُّنْيَا، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ الله بِعَبْدِهِ الشَّرَّ أَمْسَكَ عَنْهُ بِذَنْبِهِ، حَتَّى يُوَافِي بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'When Allah wills good for His servant He hastens the chastisement for him in this world; and when He wills evil for His servant He withholds punishment from him because of his sin until He meets him with it on the Day of Resurrection.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَرْبَعٌ إِذَا كُنَّ فِيكَ فَلَا عَلَيْكَ مَا فَاتَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا: صِدْقُ الحَدِيثِ، وحِفْظُ الأمانَةِ، وَحُسْنُ الخُلُقِ، وَعِفَّةُ مَطْعَمٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Four things, if they are in you, then whatever of the world you missed does not matter: truthfulness of speech; keeping the trust; good character; and chastity regarding one's provision/food.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «ازْهَدْ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُحِبَّكَ الله، وَازْهَدْ فِيمَا فِي أَيْدِي النَّاسِ يُحِبَّكَ النَّاسُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Renounce the world and Allah will love you; renounce what is in people's hands (i.e., stop coveting others' possessions) and people will love you.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَفْشِ السَّلامَ، وَأَطْعِمِ الطَّعَامَ، وَصِلِ الأَرْحَامَ، وَقُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ، وَادْخُلِ الجَنَّةَ بِسَلامٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Spread the greeting of peace, feed (others) food, maintain ties of kinship, stand at night while people sleep, and enter Paradise in peace.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَلا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِأَفْضَلَ مِنْ دَرَجَةِ الصِّيَامِ وَالصَّلَاةِ وَالصَّدَقَةِ؟ إِصْلَاحُ ذَاتِ البَيْنِ، فَإِنَّ فَسَادَ ذَاتِ البَيْنِ هِيَ الْحَالِقَةُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Shall I inform you of something superior to fasting, prayer and charity? Reconciliation between people — for the corruption of what is between people is devastating.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِخَيْرِكُمْ مِنْ شَرِّكُمْ؟ خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَيُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ، وَشَرُّكُمْ مَنْ لَا يُرْجَى خَيْرُهُ وَلَا يُؤْمَنُ شَرُّهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Shall I inform you of the best among you and the worst among you? The best of you is he whose good is hoped for and from whose evil you feel safe; and the worst among you is he from whom no good is expected and whose evil you cannot feel safe from.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْبِرُّ حُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ، وَالإِثْمُ مَا حَاكَ فِي صَدْرِكَ وَكَرِهْتَ أَنْ يَطَّلِعَ عَلَيْهِ النَّاسُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Righteousness is good character, and sin is that which gnaws at your chest and which you would dislike people to find out about.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Modesty (al-haya') is wholly good.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Those who show mercy will be shown mercy by the Most Merciful, Blessed and Exalted. Show mercy to those on earth and He in the heavens will show mercy to you.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْمُسْتَشَارُ مُؤْتَمَنٌ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The one who is consulted is trustworthy.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْمُؤْمِنُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدُّ بَعْضُهُ بَعْضًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A believer to another believer is like a building, each part strengthening the other.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ، لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلمُهُ، وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ أَخِيهِ كَانَ اللهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ، وَمَنْ فَرَّجَ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ كُرْبَةً فَرَّجَ اللهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرُبَاتِ يَوْمِ القِيَامَةِ، وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim: he does not oppress him nor does he betray him. Whoever fulfills the need of his brother, Allah will fulfill his need; whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him of one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever conceals (the faults of) a Muslim, Allah will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «المُسْلِمُ مَنْ سَلِمَ المُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand other Muslims are safe.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «المُؤْمِنُ الَّذِي يُخَالِطُ النَّاسَ وَيَصْبِرُ عَلَى أَذَاهُمْ أَعْظَمُ أَجْرًا مِنَ المُؤْمِنِ الَّذِي لاَ يُخَالِطُ النَّاسَ وَلاَ يَصْبِرُ عَلَى أَذَاهُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The believer who mixes with people and is patient with their harm has a greater reward than the believer who does not mix with people and does not endure their harm.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «الْمُؤْمِنُ يَأْلَفُ وَيُؤْلَفُ وَلَا خَيْرَ فِيمَنْ لَا يَأْلَفُ وَلَا يُؤْلَفُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “The believer makes friends and is made to befriend; there is no good in one who neither makes friends nor is befriended.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «أُمَّكَ، ثُمَّ أُمَّكَ، ثُمَّ أُمَّكَ، ثُمَّ أَبُوكَ، ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبُ فَالْأَقْرَبُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Your mother, then your mother, then your mother, then your father, then the nearest of kin, and then the nearer (ones).”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُدْرِكُ بِحُسْنِ خُلُقِهِ دَرَجَةَ قَائِمِ اللَّيْلِ صَائِمِ النَّهَارِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “A man by his good character may attain the rank of one who stands at night in prayer and fasts by day.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ الصِّدْقَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْبِرِّ، وَإِنَّ الْبِرَّ هْدِي إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَصْدُقُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ صِدِّيقًا، وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْفُجُورِ، وَإِنَّ الْفُجُورَ يَهْدِي إِلَى النَّارِ، وَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيَكْذِبُ حَتَّى يُكْتَبَ عِنْدَ اللهِ كَذَّابًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to tell the truth until he is recorded with Allah as a truthful one. Falsehood leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ فِيكَ لَخَصْلَتَيْنِ يُحِبُّهُمَا الله تَعَالَى الْحِلْمُ وَالْأَنَاةُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “In you are two qualities that Allah loves: forbearance (al-hilm) and deliberation/steadiness (al-anāh).”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنْ أَحَبِّكُمْ إِلَيَّ أَحْسَنَكُمْ أَخْلَاقًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Among those of you who are most beloved to me are those of you with the best character.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Indeed there is magic in eloquence.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حِكْمَةً».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is wisdom in some poetry.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَسَعُوا النَّاسَ بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَسَعْهُمْ مِنْكُمْ بَسْطُ الْوَجْهِ وَحُسْنُ الْخُلُقِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “You will not be able to win people over with your wealth; rather let them be won over by an open countenance and good character.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّمَا النَّاسُ كَالإِبِلِ المِائَةِ لَا تَكَادُ تَجِدُ فِيهَا رَاحِلَةً».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “People are like a hundred camels; you will hardly find among them one to ride.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّمَا بُعِثْتُ لأُتَمِمَ مَكَارِمَ الأَخْلَاقِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “I was sent only to perfect noble character.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظَّنَّ، فَإِنَّ الظَّنَّ أَكْذَبُ الْحَدِيثِ، وَلَا تَحَسَّسُوا، وَلَا تَجَسَّسُوا، وَلَا تَنَافَسُوا، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إِخْوَانًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the most false of speech. Do not pry, do not spy, do not compete with one another, do not envy one another, do not hate one another, do not turn away from one another. Be, O servants of Allah, brothers.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «تَجِدُونَ النَّاسَ مَعَادِنَ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ خِيَارُهُمْ فِي الإِسْلَامِ إِذَا فَقُهُوا، وَتَجِدُونَ خَيْرَ النَّاسِ فِي هَذَا الشَّأْنِ أَشَدَّهُمْ لَهُ كَرَاهِيَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ فِيهِ، وَتَجِدُونَ شَرَّ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عِنْدَ اللهِ ذَا الْوَجْهَيْنِ الَّذِي يَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ وَيَأْتِي هَؤُلَاءِ بِوَجْهٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “You will find people like mines: the best of them in the Age of Ignorance will be the best of them in Islam if they gain understanding; and you will find that the best people in this matter are those who were most averse to it before they came to it. And you will find the worst people on the Day of Resurrection, in the sight of Allah, to be the two-faced ones—those who come to these people with one face and to those people with another.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «تُطْعِمُ الطَّعَامَ وَتَقْرَأُ السَّلَامَ عَلَى مَنْ عَرَفْتَ وَمَنْ لَمْ تَعْرِفْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Give food and spread the greeting of peace to those you know and those you do not know.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «رُبَّ أَشْعَثَ أَغْبَرَ، مَدْفُوعٍ بِالْأَبْوَابِ، لَوْ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى اللهِ لأَبَرَّهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Often a disheveled, dusty man, pushed about at the doorways; if he were to swear by Allah he would be true (to his oath).”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «عِفُوا تَعِفُّ نِسَاؤُكُمْ، وبَرُّوا آبَاءَكُمْ تَبَرُّكُمْ أَبْنَاؤُكُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Be chaste and your women will be chaste; be dutiful to your parents and your children will be dutiful to you.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «كَفَى بِالمَرْءِ كَذِبًا أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِكُلِّ مَا سَمِعَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “It is enough of a man’s lying that he relates everything he hears.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا بَأْسَ بِالْغِنَى لِمَنِ اتَّقَى، وَالصِّحَّةُ لِمَنِ اتَّقَى، خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْغِنَى، وَطِيبُ النَّفْسِ مِنَ النَّعِيمِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is nothing wrong with wealth for the one who fears Allah; and health for the one who fears Allah is better than wealth; and a contented soul is better than luxury.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا تَبَاغَضُوا وَلا تَقَاطَعُوا وَلا تَحَاسَدُوا وَلا تَدَابَرُوا وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ الله إِخْوَانًا كَمَا أَمَرَكُمُ الله، وَلا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاثِ لَيَالٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Do not hate one another, do not cut off relations, do not envy, do not turn your backs on one another; be servants of Allah and brothers as Allah commanded you. And it is not permissible for a Muslim to abandon his brother for more than three nights.”
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَا تَحْقِرَنَّ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ شَيْئًا وَلَوْ أَنْ تَلْقَى أَخَاكَ بِوَجْهِ طَلْقٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not belittle any good deed, even if it is that you meet your brother with a cheerful face.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا تضربوا إماء الله».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not beat the female servants of Allah.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ قَتَّاتٌ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No miser will enter Paradise.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا تَغْضَبْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not get angry.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا تَكُونُوا عَوْنًا لِلشَّيْطَانِ عَلَى أَخِيكُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not be an aid to Satan against your brother.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا تُنْزَعُ الرَّحْمَةُ إِلَّا مِنْ شَقِيٍّ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Mercy is not removed except from a wretched person.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا حَلِيمَ إِلا ذُو عَثْرَةٍ، وَلا حَكِيمَ إِلا ذُو تَجْرِبَةٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There is no truly forbearing person except one who has stumbled, and no truly wise person except one with experience.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ، فَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَيَصُدُّ هَذَا، وَخَيْرُهُمَا الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ بِالسَّلَامِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'It is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three days; when they meet, one turns away and the other turns away, and the better of the two is the one who begins with salam.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ، قِيلَ: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوْبُهُ حَسَنًا وَنَعْلُهُ حَسَنًا، قَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الْجَمَالَ، الْكِبْرُ بَطَرُ الْحَقِّ وَغَمْطُ النَّاسِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No one who has an atom's weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.' It was said, 'A man likes his clothes and shoes to be good.' He said, 'Indeed Allah is Beautiful and loves beauty; arrogance is rejecting the truth and belittling people.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَرْحَمُ اللهُ مَنْ لا يَرْحَمُ النَّاسَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Allah will not have mercy on one who does not have mercy on people.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَرْمِي رَجُلٌ رَجُلًا بِالْفُسُوقِ، وَلا يَرْمِيهِ بِالْكُفْرِ إلا ارْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبُهُ كَذَلِكَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No one should call another a fasiq (sinner) or an unbeliever, unless that accusation is true; otherwise the accusation will rebound upon him.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَزَالُ قَلْبُ الْكَبِيرِ شَابًَّا فِي اثْنَتَيْنِ: فِي حُبِّ الدُّنْيَا، وَطُولِ الأَمَلِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The heart of the elderly remains young in two things: love of the world and long hopes.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَسْتُرُ الله عَلَى عَبْدٍ فِي الدُّنْيَا، إلاَّ سَتَرَهُ الله يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If Allah conceals a servant in this world, He will conceal him on the Day of Resurrection.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَسْتُرُ عَبْدٌ عَبْدًا فِي الدُّنْيَا إلاَّ سَتَرَهُ الله يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If a person conceals another's faults in this world, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يُشِيرُ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى أَخِيهِ بِالسِّلاحِ، فَإِنَّهُ لا يَدْرِي لَعَلَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْزِعُ فِي يَدِهِ فَيَقَعُ فِي حُفْرَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'None of you should point a weapon at his brother, for you do not know; perhaps the Devil will cause it to slip from his hand and it will fall into a pit of fire.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ عَبْدِي وَأَمَتِي، كُلُّكُمْ عَبِيدُ الله، وَكُلُّ نِسَائِكُمْ إِمَاءُ الله، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ غُلامِي وَجَارِيَتِي، وَفَتَايَ وَفَتَاتِي».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do not say "my slave" and "my slavegirl"; you are all servants of Allah and all your women are Allah's maidservants. Rather say "my boy" and "my girl," "my youths" and "my young women."'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَكُونُ اللَّعَّانُونَ شُفَعَاءَ وَلا شُهَدَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Those who curse will not be intercessors nor witnesses on the Day of Resurrection.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A believer is not bitten from the same hole twice.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'It is not fitting for a truthful person to be a curser.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لا يَنْبَغِي لِمُؤْمِنٍ أَنْ يُذِلَّ نَفْسَهُ قِيلَ وَكَيْفَ يُذِلُّ نَفْسَهُ؟ قَالَ (يَتَعَرَّضُ مِنَ الْبَلَاءِ لِمَا لا يُطِيقُ)».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A believer should not humiliate himself.' They asked, 'How does he humiliate himself?' He said, 'By exposing himself to trials beyond what he can bear.'
«لَقَلْبُ ابْنِ آدَمَ أَشَدُّ انْقِلابًا مِنَ الْقِدْرِ إِذَا اسْتَجْمَعَتْ غَلْيًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The heart of the son of Adam is more changeable than a cooking pot when it boils.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَادِيَانِ، وَلَنْ يَمْلأَ فَاهُ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ، وَيَتُوبُ الله عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'If the son of Adam had a valley of gold he would wish for two valleys; and his mouth will not be filled except with dust. And Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَيْسَ الشَّدِيدُ بِالصُّرَعَةِ، إِنَّمَا الشَّدِيدُ الَّذِي يَمْلِكُ نَفْسَهُ عِنْدَ الغَضَبِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The strong is not the one who overcomes people by wrestling; rather the strong is the one who controls himself when angry.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَيْسَ الغِنَى عَنْ كَثْرَةِ العَرَضِ وَلَكِنَّ الغِنَى غِنَى النَّفْسِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Wealth is not by having many possessions, but wealth is the richness of the soul.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لَيْسَ المُؤْمِنُ بالَّذِي يَشْبَعُ وَجَارُهُ جَائِعٌ إلى جَنْبِهِ وهو يَعْلَمُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The believer is not the one who eats his fill while his neighbor beside him is hungry, and he knows it.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَثَلُ القَائِمِ عَلَى حُدُودِ الله وَالوَاقِعِ فِيهَا، كَمَثَلِ قَوْمِ اسْتَهَمُوا عَلَى سَفِينَةٍ فَأَصَابَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَعْلَاهَا وَبَعْضُهُمْ أَسْفَلَهَا، فَكَانَ الَّذِينَ فِي أَسْفَلِهَا إِذَا اسْتَقَوْا مِنَ المَاءِ مَرُّوا عَلَى مَنْ فَوْقَهُمْ فَقَالُوا لَوْ أَنَّا خَرَقْنَا فِي نَصِيبِنَا خَرْقًا وَلَمْ نُؤْذِ مَنْ فَوْقَنَا، فَإِنْ يَتْرُكُوهُمْ وَمَا أَرَادُوا هَلَكُوا جَمِيعًا، وَإِنْ أَخَذُوا عَلَى أَيْدِيهِمْ نَجَوْا وَنَجَوْا جَمِيعًا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The example of the one who enforces the limits of Allah and the one who transgresses them is like the people who drew lots on a ship: some of them were on its upper decks and some were in its lower parts. When those in the lower part needed water, they passed by those above them and said, "If only we could make a hole in our share and not harm those above us." If the others leave them to do as they wish, they will all perish; but if they restrain them by their hands, they will all be saved.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَا مِنْ مُصِيبَةٍ تُصِيبُ الْمُسْلِمَ إِلَّا كَفَّرَ اللهُ بِهَا عَنْهُ، حَتَّى الشَّوْكَةَ يُشَاكُهَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'No affliction befalls a Muslim except that Allah expiates some of his sins by it, even a thorn that pricks him.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ مَثَلُ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّى».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The example of the believers in their mutual love, mercy, and sympathy is like the body: when one part of it feels pain the rest of the body responds with sleeplessness and fever.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ أَصْبَحَ مِنْكُمْ آمِنًا فِي سِرْبِهِ، مُعَافًى فِي جَسَدِهِ، عِنْدَهُ قُوتُ يَوْمِهِ، فَكَأَنَّمَا حِيزَتْ لَهُ الدُّنْيَا بِحَذَافِيرِهَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever among you wakes up secure in his household, healthy in his body, and has his day's provision, it is as if the whole world has been gathered for him.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مِنَ الكَبَائِرِ شَتْمُ الرَّجُلِ وَالِدَيْهِ، قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ الله، وَهَل يَشْتُمُ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، يَسُبُّ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ فَيَسُبُّ أَبَاهُ، وَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ فَيَسُبُّ أُمَّهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Among the great sins is insulting a man's parents.' They said, 'O Messenger of Allah, does one insult a man's parents?' He said, 'Yes: he insults a man's father and the man then insults his father; he insults his mother and the man then insults his mother.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ ذَبَّ عَنْ لَحْمِ أَخِيهِ بِالغَيْبَةِ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللهِ أَنْ يُعْتِقَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever shields his brother's honor from backbiting, it is a right incumbent upon Allah to free him from the Fire.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مِنْ رَأَى عَوْرَةً فَسَتَرَهَا كَانَ كَمَنْ أَحْيَا مَوْءُودَةً مِنْ قَبْرِهَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever sees a person's fault and conceals it is like one who brought to life someone who had been buried alive.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ سَرَّهُ أَنْ يُبْسَطَ لَهُ فِي رِزْقِهِ وَأَنْ يُنْسَأَ لَهُ فِي أَثَرِهِ فَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever wishes that his provision be expanded for him and his life be prolonged, let him maintain the ties of kinship.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ كَانَ سَهْلًا هَيِّنًا لَيِّنًا، حَرَّمَهُ الله عَلَى النَّارِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever is easygoing, gentle, and mild, Allah will forbid the Fire for him.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «(مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ جَائِزَتَهُ قال: وما جائزته يا رسول الله؟ (يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ، وَالضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ، فَمَا كَانَ وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ عَلَيْهِ، وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَاليَوْمِ الآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ)».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should honor his guest.' They asked, 'What is his entitlement, O Messenger of Allah?' He said, 'A day and a night.' And hospitality is three days; what is beyond that is charity on his part. And whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should speak good or remain silent.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ لَا يَرْحَمِ النَّاسَ لَا يَرْحَمُهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'He who does not show mercy to people, Allah the Exalted will not show mercy to him.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظًا وَهُوَ قَادِرٌ عَلَى أَنْ يُنْفِذَهُ دَعَاهُ اللهُ عَلَى رُؤُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ فِي أَيِّ الْحُورِ شَاءَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever restrains his anger while he is able to act upon it, Allah will summon him before the heads of creation on the Day of Resurrection and let him choose whichever of the houris he wishes.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ وَقَاهُ اللهُ شَرَّ مَا بَيْنَ لَحْيَيْهِ وَشَرَّ مَا بَيْنَ رِجْلَيْهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever Allah protects from the evil between his jaws and the evil between his legs will enter Paradise.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ يُحْرَمِ الرِّفْقَ يُحْرَمِ الْخَيْرَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever is deprived of gentleness is deprived of good.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ يُردِ الله بِهِ خَيْرًا يُصِبْ مِنْهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Whoever Allah intends good for, He grants him a share of it.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَهْلًا يَا عَائِشَةُ، عَلَيْكِ بِالرِّفْقِ، وَإِيَّاكِ وَالْعُنْفَ وَالْفُحْشَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Take it easy, O Aisha; be gentle, and beware of harshness and obscenity.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنْ شِعْرِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ» شَيْئًا؟».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Do you have any of the poetry of Umayya ibn al-Salt?'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ، وَاللَّهِ لَا يُؤْمِنُ، الَّذِي لَا يَأْمَنُ جَارُهُ بَوَائِقَهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By Allah, he is not a believer, by Allah, he is not a believer, by Allah, he is not a believer — the one whose neighbor is not safe from his harm.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «وَاللَّهِ لَلدُّنْيَا أَهْوَنُ عَلَى اللهِ مِنْ هَذَا عَلَيْكُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By Allah, the world is of less value to Allah than this is to you.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يا أبا ذر، أَتَرَى أَنَّ كَثْرَةَ المَالِ هُوَ الغِنَى؟ إِنَّمَا الغِنَى غِنَى القَلْبِ، والفقر فَقْرُ القَلْبِ مَنْ كَانَ الغِنَى فِي قَلْبِهِ، فَلَا يَضُرُّهُ مَا لَقِيَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، وَمَنْ كَانَ الفَقْرُ فِي قَلْبِهِ، فَلَا يُغْنِيهِ مَا أَكْثَرَ لَهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا، وَإِنَّمَا يَضُرُّ نَفْسَهُ شُحُّهَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Abu Dharr, do you consider abundance of wealth to be true richness? True richness is the richness of the heart, and poverty is the poverty of the heart. Whoever has richness in his heart, what he encounters of the world will not harm him; and whoever has poverty in his heart, whatever of the world he acquires will not enrich him, and what harms him is his stinginess.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍ، أَعَيَّرْتَهُ بِأُمِّهِ، إِنَّكَ امْرُؤٌ فِيكَ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ، إِخْوَانُكُمْ خَوَلُكُمْ، جَعَلَهُمُ اللهُ تَحْتَ أَيْدِيكُمْ، فَمَنْ كَانَ أَخُوهُ تَحْتَ يَدِهِ فَلْيُطْعِمْهُ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ، وَلِيُلْبِسْهُ مِمَّا يَلْبَسُ، وَلَا تُكَلِّفُوهُمْ مَا يَغْلِبُهُمْ، فَإِنْ كَلَّفْتُمُوهُمْ فَأَعِينُوهُمْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Abu Dharr, you have insulted him by his mother; in you is an element of ignorance. Your brothers are those whom God has placed under your hands. So whoever has his brother under his authority should feed him from what he eats and clothe him from what he wears, and do not burden them beyond their capacity; and if you do burden them, then help them.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍ، انْظُرْ أَرْفَعَ رَجُلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فِي عَيْنِكَ قَالَ: فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ، قُلْتُ هَذَا، قَالَ لِي: انْظُرْ أَوْضَعَ رَجُلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، قَالَ: فَنَظَرْتُ فَإِذَا رَجُلٌ عَلَيْهِ أَخْلَاقٌ، قُلْتُ هَذَا، قَالَ: وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ هَذَا عِنْدَ اللهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خَيْرٌ مِنْ مِلْءِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ مِثْلِ هَذَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Abu Dharr, look at the highest man in the mosque in your eyes.' He said: 'I looked and saw a man in fine garments; I said, “This one.” He said to me: “Look at the lowest man in the mosque.” So I looked and saw a man in rags; I said, “This one.” He said: “By Him in Whose Hand my soul is, this one is, before Allah on the Day of Resurrection, better than the earth filled with the like of that (well-dressed man).”'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا حَنْظَلَةُ! سَاعَةً وَسَاعَةً وَلَوْ كَانَتْ تَكُونُ قُلُوبُكُمْ كَمَا تَكُونُ عِنْدَ الذِّكْرِ لَصَافَحَتْكُمُ الْمَلائِكَةُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Hanzala! An hour and another hour — if only your hearts were as they are in remembrance, the angels would shake your hands.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا عَائِشَةُ، مَتَى عَهْدُتِنِي فَحَّاشًا، إِنَّ شَرَّ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ اللهِ مَنْزِلَةً يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ تَرَكَهُ النَّاسُ اتِّقَاءَ شَرِّهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Aisha, when have you ever known me to be coarse? Verily, the worst of people in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection are those whom people abandon for fear of their evil.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَا نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ لَا تَحْقِرَنَّ جَارَةٌ لِجَارَتِهَا وَلَوْ فِرْسِنَ شَاةٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'O Muslim women, do not belittle a neighbor to her neighbor even if it is a small portion of a sheep.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَسِّرُوا وَلَا تُعَسِّرُوا وَبَشِّرُوا وَلَا تُنَفِّرُوا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Make things easy and do not make them difficult; give glad tidings and do not repel (people).'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي وَالْمَاشِي عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The rider greets the walker, the walker greets the one sitting, and the few greet the many.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «يَهْرَمُ ابْنُ آدَمَ وَيَشِبُّ فِيْهِ اثْنَتَانِ: الْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْعُمْرِ، وَالْحِرْصُ عَلَى الْمَالِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The son of Adam grows old, and two things gray him: the longing for a long life, and the longing for wealth.'
قال رسول الله ﷺ «اغْتَنِمْ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ خَمْسٍ: حَيَاتَكَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِكَ، وَصِحَّتَكَ قَبْلَ سَقَمِكَ، وَفَرَاغَكَ قَبْلَ شُغْلِكَ، وَشَبَابَكَ قَبْلَ هَرَمِكَ، وَغِنَاكَ قَبْلَ فَقْرِكَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Take advantage of five before five: your life before your death, your health before your illness, your free time before your being occupied, your youth before your old age, and your wealth before your poverty.'
الباب الخامس: التوبة والمغفرة
Chapter Five: Repentance and Forgiveness
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى يَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِاللَّيْلِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ النَّهَارِ وَيَبْسُطُ يَدَهُ بِالنَّهَارِ لِيَتُوبَ مُسِيءُ اللَّيْلِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed Allah the Exalted extends His hand by night so that the one who sinned by day may repent, and He extends His hand by day so that the one who sinned by night may repent, until the sun rises from its west."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى يَقْبَلُ تَوْبَةَ الْعَبْدِ مَا لَمْ يُغَرْغِرْ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed Allah the Exalted accepts the repentance of a servant so long as he has not ghargara'd (entered the death-rattle)."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «إِنَّ الله تَعَالَى يُمْهِلُ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ ثُلُثُ اللَّيْلِ الآخِرُ نَزَلَ إِلَى سَمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَنَادَى: هَلْ مِنْ مُسْتَغْفِرٍ، هَلْ مِنْ تَائِبٍ، هَلْ مِنْ سَائِلٍ، هَلْ مِنْ دَاعٍ، حَتَّى يَنْفَجِرَ الْفَجْرُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed Allah the Exalted delays (punishment) until when the last third of the night comes He descends to the lowest heaven and calls: 'Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone repenting? Is there anyone asking (a need)? Is there anyone calling (upon Me)?' — until dawn breaks."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ، وَخَيْرُ الخَطَّائِينَ التَّوَّابُونَ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every son of Adam is a sinner, and the best of sinners are those who repent."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «كُلُّ أُمَّتِي مُعَافَى إِلاَّ الْمُجَاهِرِينَ، وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْمُجَاهَرَةِ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ الرَّجُلُ بِاللَّيْلِ عَمَلًا، ثُمَّ يُصْبِحَ وَقَدْ سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ فَيَقُولَ: يَا فُلَانُ، عَمِلْتُ البَارِحَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَقَدْ بَاتَ يَسْتُرُهُ رَبُّهُ، وَيُصْبِحُ يَكْشِفُ سِتْرَ اللَّهِ عَنْهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "All of my Ummah will be forgiven except the openly sinful. And among being open in sin is that a man does a deed by night, then in the morning Allah had concealed it for him, and he says, 'O so-and-so, last night I did such-and-such,' while his Lord had covered him during the night, and in the morning he uncovers Allah's covering from himself."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «للهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنْ أَحَدِكُمْ أَنْ يَسْقُطَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ وَقَدْ أَضَلَّهُ بِأَرْضِ فَلَاةٍ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah is more joyful at the repentance of His servant than one of you would be at finding his camel after it had gone astray in a barren land."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «لِمَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ أُمَّتِي».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "For whoever from my Ummah acts upon it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَنْ تَابَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا تَابَ الله عَلَيْهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever repents before the sun rises from its west, Allah will accept his repentance."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «مَهْلًا يَا خَالِدُ فَوَ الَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَقَدْ تَابَتْ تَوْبَةً لَوْ تَابَهَا صَاحِبُ مَكْسٍ لَغُفِرَ لَهُ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hold on, O Khalid! By Him in Whose hand my soul is, there has occurred a repentance which, if the owner of a 'maks' were to repent with it, he would be forgiven."
«هَلَّا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ؟ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَتُوبَ فَيَتُوبَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ».
"Will you not leave him? Perhaps he will repent and Allah will accept his repentance."
قال رسول الله ﷺ «وَيْحَكِ ارْجِعِي فَاسْتَغْفِرِي الله وَتُوبِي إِلَيْهِ».
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Woe to you — go back and seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him."
