His characteristics and status ﷺ
What he ﷺ was uniquely given above all other prophets
On the authority of Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah, radiyallahu 'anhu, that he ﷺ said: "I was given five things that were not given to anyone before me: I was supported by terror for a distance of a month's journey; the earth was made for me a mosque and a means of purification; the spoils of war were made lawful for me and were not lawful for any prophet before me; I was sent to all of mankind; and I was given intercession." [Muttafaqun 'alayh].
- Victory through terror for a distance of a month's journey — his enemy feared him from afar
- The whole earth was made a mosque and a place of purification for him — a mercy for his ummah
- The spoils of war were made lawful for him and were not lawful for any prophet before him
- He was sent to all people, not only to his own people
- He was given the greatest intercession on the Day of Resurrection
Master of the children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection ﷺ
On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, radiyallahu 'anhu, who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I am the master of the children of Adam on the Day of Resurrection, and in my hand is the banner of praise, and no boasting. There will be no prophet on that day — Adam excepted — who is not beneath my banner, and I am the first from whom the earth will split open, and no boasting." [At-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah].
- Bearer of the Banner of Praise — the only banner to be raised on the Day of Gathering
- The first from whom the earth will split open on the Day of Resurrection
- The first intercessor and the first to be interceded for regarding entry into Paradise
- Opener of the gates of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection — it will not be opened for anyone before him
- He will have the most followers and the largest community among the prophets on the Day of Gathering
